Beloved Former News Anchor Lou Dobbs is dead at 78

Conservative US political broadcaster and prominent Donald Trump admirer Lou Dobbs passed away at 78, according to an update issued on Thursday via his Twitter X account by his staff.

“It’s with heartbreaking sadness that we report the sudden passing of ‘The Great Lou Dobbs’,” the press release stated. “Lou was a warrior till the very last moment, fighting against what matters to him most, which was God, his loved ones, and the country.”

After leaving his positions at CNN and Fox, Dobbs has been hosting a show on the local radio station 77WABC and running his own podcast, The Great America.

He was survived by his children, grandchildren, and spouse, Debi.

Trump lauded Lou Dobbs in a tweet on his social media account, saying she was a “friend and truly amazing reporter, reporter, and talent.”.
He had comprehended the globe “better than others,” proved “unique in many different ways,” and adored the US, Trump remarked, extending condolences.

In 2021, Fox suspended the TV show presented by Lou Dobbs after he was accused of exploiting his platform to disseminate unsubstantiated suspicions of fraud in his 2020 election and was listed in a defamation case brought by a voting equipment vendor against the network.
The press release from Fox News claimed the firm was “deeply heartbroken” by his loss.

It said, “Lou Dobbs helped turn cable news into a significant and successful industry with his extraordinary business sense and gift for television broadcasting.”

“We are enormously appreciative of his numerous efforts and express our deepest condolences to the family.”
